Rocky Bucano is the visionary founder and executive director of the Hip-Hop Museum in the Bronx, where he leads the creation of a landmark institution dedicated to preserving and celebrating the global impact of hip-hop. His multifaceted career spans decades—beginning as a teenage DJ at the famed Stardust Ballroom, evolving into co-founder of Strong City Records with Jazzy Jay, and later contributing to groundbreaking projects with Teddy Riley, Rowdy Records, and LaFace.
Beyond music, Rocky spent over a decade shaping youth development through the legendary Gauchos basketball program, where he helped guide future NBA talent. His entrepreneurial spirit, cultural stewardship, and commitment to community have made him a defining figure in hip-hop’s evolution.
